Patient wellbeing

Our focus is to improve patients outcomes. We have built a platform for AI innovators to create solutions that will improve patient care.

Guardianship

We protect patients’ data privacy by de-identifying and encrypting data using the best standards, techniques, and tools available.

Equitable impact

Everyone is entitled to world-class healthcare. Products made using our data strive to reduce inequities — not exaggerate them.

Privacy always

Dandelion follows all applicable laws and regulations to protect patients' identities and privacy by de-identifying and tokenizing data before it leaves the health systems’ environment. Where possible, we go beyond existing laws to uphold the highest privacy standards.

Transparency

We communicate openly and honestly by documenting our practices, sharing our learnings, and seeking continuous feedback from our health system partners.

Partner ownership

Dandelion does not own the data collected by its health system partners — nor does it sell this data to customers. Dandelion leases access to de-identified data within an encrypted SOC2-certified cloud environment.

Our ethics statement

Working with patient data means treating it with care, respect, and responsibility. Dandelion works closely with its health system partners and a third-party auditor to ensure that patients’ data and privacy are protected, never sold, and always de-identified. This data is only ever used to create products that will improve patient wellbeing and reduce health disparities.

Our core values

Our data principles

Data never leaves

The data never leaves the Dandelion environment without the explicit permission of relevant health system partners. Dandelion works with a third-party auditor and its health system partners to ensure that customers can never own, download, or make copies of the data.

Defined use of data

We do not lease access to data for any other reason than to develop AI products that improve patient care. Our health system partners review every client request to ensure that the products in question will actually help patients and providers.
